Social Organization

In order to estimate the
Archaic population of the
project area sites, estimates
were made of household size,
based on the range of 1-3
square meters of floor space
per person.

 

Using data from the 27
structures occupied during the
four Archaic periods, it can be
seen that a slow but steady
rise occurred in Archaic
populations from the Early
through the Upper Late
periods.
